ABB was founded in 1988 in Zurich, Switzerland; it was a merger of two companies named ASEA and Brown, Boveri & Cie. These two companies were formed in 1883 and 1891 respectively and were involved with electrical goods like motors, circuit breakers, robots etc. FIMER solar inverter is the fourth largest Italian based solar inverter distributor. It has a production capacity of 4.12GW with a string inverter range from a few kW to 7.8 MW; held the hands of the ABB’s business and finalised the acquisition.
